A black man made it

To the white house

Could be a lighthouse

For others

But they’re drowning

Cause they’re trapped

On the death row

On the side of the road

In one-way shootouts

Hands up with no hope

Rest in Peace

How can we ask them

To rest in peace

When we cannot resolve

What put them in the ground?

 

The silence resonate

Louder than their screams

The injustice spreads further

When the watchers make no sound
